All of my websites are custom, not straight from a template like so many web designers now (who will charge you the same or more for a lower quality product). So how much can you expect to pay? Well, to give you the fairest price, I charge by the hour. This way you can be confident that you will not be overcharged for your website. But just to give you an idea on the price you can expect, I’ve built small business websites that range from $500-$4,500, and I will always give you a rough estimate based on the time I think it will take. As you probably guessed, it all depends on the size of the project. Small business website typically be finished 2-4 weeks from the day you receive your quote. However there are many factors that can affect the target date of a project. I will always include a estimated time frame so you know what to expect.
SEO or Search Engine Optimization is exactly what is sounds like: Optimizing your website so that it appears higher on the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for certain key words and phrases. Utilizing SEO best practices, such as proper SEO syntax, keyword utilization, maximizing page-load speed, and more, your website will be miles ahead of most business’s. And, as you know, the higher you rank in the SEPRs the more business you get.
Yes, I have a background in copywriting and would be happy to help you write engaging and persuasive copy to help you with your project. However, no one knows your business like you do, so I always like to keep my clients involved in the process.
It depends on the project. In most cases I prefer to write the websites using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and a few other languages depending on your needs because the website will be faster, and we’ll have more control over the user interface and SEO outputs. Both of which are better for Search Engine Optimization. However, if you are looking to start an e-commerce store, consistently write blog articles, or want easier access to adding pages, a content management system such as WordPress is probably going to be your best option.
